No, Chief does not die in Halo 5. [SPOILERS] I'll do a brief summary of Halo 5 to explain. Chief and Blue team have been running missions together again since after Halo 4. Mar 23, 2014 · Nope, Master Chief didn't die in Halo 4. Halo 5 is coming out, and it's a sequel to the events of Halo 4. If Master Chief died, then there would be no Halo games anymore. Cortana, the AI companion of Master Chief, died in Halo 4 and was resurrected in corrupted form in Halo 5. She is reportedly back in Halo Infinite as well. Master Chief needs to die! Master Chief is long past his expiration date as a character. His character is done and over with. Halo needs a new protagonist.

Master Chief Dies in Halo 6? According to the A Hero Fall ad, they say that Master Chief died on October 27, 2560. However, in Halo 5, the last date that we are shown is on the level "Genesis", and it says October 28, 2558. So the supposed death takes place almost 2 years after Halo 5, which makes sense that it could happen in Halo 6.
And that John openly admits he can never resume a normal life. I know you will all hate me for this but looking at the facts. Chief is going to Die in Halo 6. He is essentially a relic. The fact that locke could go toe to toe with him shows he's not needed to protect the human race anymore. I suspect in Halo 6 both Cortana and Chief will die. Master Chief is a Spartan-II, while Six is a Spartan-III. Yes, he dies. 5 Elites confront him, but only 3 live. This process gave the Chief an immunity to the effects of the Didact's weapon, the Composer, a device that turns humans into digital beings. I believe the Flood will be introduced in Halo 6 and will be the ultimate force to kill MC. So will the Chief die in Halo 6? Is the series ready to kill off their main protagonist and bring Locke or some unknown to replace Chief In Halo 7?
