Local area connection icon disappeared. Tags: Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit. LAN disappeared. iamratheeshsr April 2, 2010 at 13:42:07 Specs: Windows 7. I am facing a unusual thing in my laptop. All of a sudden my Local area connection icon disappeared from my network connections page. Remaining all my Vmware network connection icons and Local Area Connection Disappeared - Networking In the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections > there's no "Local Area Connection" icon there.I tried re-adding it using the add network wizard (or something similar) but the How to enable or disable local area connection in Windows Cant get the Pi system to comunicate with my laptop because the local area connection is only reconizing the network adapter and im assuming my internet conection is coming from windows 7. May 15, 2010 · You could try this: Right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager button. Find Network adapters and expand it to show your LAN card entry. Right click the LAN card entry then click Uninstall and reboot the computer. This will allow Windows to setup your LAN card software again.
