This page is about racoon. The new strongSwan documentation can be found here.. A quick starters quide based on Backfire 10.03.1-rc6. Maybe it will save you and me time if one has to setup an IPsec VPN in the future. Hopefully it will ecourage other people to use Openwrt as an IPsec VPN router. We cannot provide a graphical user interface at the moment but at least it is a solid alternative to OpenWrt Project: IPsec Except where otherwise noted, content on this wiki is licensed under the following license: CC Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International CC Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International DD-WRT L2TP/IPsec Setup Instructions - VPNReactor Support Dec 07, 2013

OpenWrt Project: IPsec Basics

Feb 19, 2011 networking - How do I configure DD-WRT to forward IPSec I use dd-wrt as my home router setup and that's been working fine. Now I wanted to figure out a way to be able to use my iPad to set up a IPSec tunnel to my home network while I'm on the road. PPTP is pretty much insecure at this point so I want to use something IPSec based. Based on what I can find, dd-wrt does not support IPSec.

The speed may be lower than PPTP but Internet speed varies based on a number of factors. Usually, the difference in speed is negligible.
